What we do:
1. Full structural service, available individually or as a package:
- Attend an initial meeting with a prospective client, listen to the client’s requirements and, if required, propose various preliminary structural solutions that meet the proposed budget and that can be built economically in the proposed time frame.
- Decide with the client and the other building professionals on the design team on the chosen structural solution and prepare a program to ensure the project reaches completion on time.
- Prepare detailed designs, drawings and specifications in co-ordination with the project team for structural certification and submission for planning and development approval if required.
- If required, assist the client with preparing, distributing, assessing and awarding tenders for contractors to carry out the structural work.
- Attend site meetings during construction to help the contractor interpret the documents.
- Carry out inspections during construction and report on progress and compliance with the documents.
2. Construction services:
- Site supervision – we employ licensed construction supervisors with extensive experience.
- Builder supervision – we employ building contractors with extensive experience.
- Independent inspections and reports during construction period - for developer or builder.
3. Education services:
- University lecturing on construction and engineering subjects
- Professional engineering seminar presentations on construction and engineering subjects
4. Reporting services:
- Condition report - Inspect and report on the current condition of any structure, highlighting any defects noted and giving details of remedial work required to make the structure safe or, if possible, to ensure that the structure complies with current building codes and regulations.
- Due diligence/pre-purchase report - Inspect and report on the current condition of any commercial or industrial building, highlighting any defects noted and giving details of remedial work required to make the structure safe or, if possible, to ensure that the building complies with current building codes and regulations.
- Dilapidation report – Inspect, report and prepare a photographic record of visible defects in the structure prior to carrying out building works in close proximity, so that the extent of any damage caused by the building works is clearly identified.
- Structural failure/forensic report – Inspect structural failure and, if required, advise how to bring the structure to a safe condition, carry out investigation and report on most likely causes of failure with recommendations to prevent recurrence.
- Insurance report – Investigate and report on damage caused to any structure by impact, fire, flood, earthquake, cyclone or other occurrence. Advise on making the structure safe and any remedial work required to repair the structure.
- Discreet investigations and reports on any matters related to structures or buildings.
